Maybe, but I get pulled in to every ID scale when they're open. And crossed the Sage Junction scale last Friday. Always get pulled in, but never had an inspection.

So Idaho may be different than other states in that my trucks often get bypassed, sometimes even with a wide/heavy load. We don’t have any kind of prepass deal, but evidently since we are Idaho based we get bypassed frequently.
I used to have a swing license plate bracket on one of our trucks. One time after being called into Inkom POE, they showed me that while crossing the weigh-in-motion scales they take like 25 pictures of each truck crossing them. They told me that the swing plate was not readable to their cameras due to wind pushing the plate back, but if I moved the plate so it could be ready I would get the bypass sign more often.
How that relates to you I'm not sure, but I suspect a database contains the information of all trucks passing. Idaho does not necessarily share stuff with the Feds though.
I didn’t answer your question but that is the extent of my knowledge about it.IH Truck Guy, cke, tramm01 and 14 others Thank this. -
That would pretty much answer it for me. There is some sort of system keeping his information.

Sounds like that could be it then. Maybe that info isn't shared across the other weigh stations in state. March may have very well been the last time I crossed the Inkom scale while they were open.cke, tramm01, broke down plumber and 10 others Thank this.

If the scale has a weight in motion system, then it also has cameras and plate readers.
As long as the plate is clear and legible to the readers, and you have no questionable weight or other potential problems, you should get the bypass sign. At least that was what explained to me a while back.cke, tramm01, broke down plumber and 8 others Thank this. -
