    It's a strange thing.
Spend all summer up here and you get nervous going back to Civilization.

Electronic billing and stuff, is fine, but you need to keep copies of the electronic form, and printed if it's important, because once it's in the ether...you may or may not be able to see it again. That's the problem, you must keep a copy of everything if you ever have to back up it's existence or challenge their numbers.

I'll be 69 in October. I learned computer programming using the Basic language in computer club on a ticker tape and paper printouts terminal attached via modem to the local college's mainframe...graduated to see the first Monochrome monitor brought into the school. I've always learned technology, but used it as it was intended to be used, as a tool.....but everything needs to be reduced to analog (paper and pencil/printout) because of the vulnerability of the system... I learned it, and learned not to trust it without verification. :)

The most useful apps for me on the smart phone is the Google Maps and the MyRadar app, so I can see if it's okay to take the Kayak out (hint to Cdemars316) :biggrin_25525:, but mostly for when I was driving, so I'd know my location for P/U and delivery location via Map, and the weather situation via MyRadar to figure out what I need to do or avoid. :)

Stopped in and Visited a friend's gold mine while we was galavanting around earlier this week. He has to build a winter road every year to get machinery and fuel in. In the summer it's Argo access only across 7 miles of muskeg. It's been really dry out his way so we took a chance and barely made it in with my 6 by 6 buggy. Good for you. You turned off the Meta Data that get's saved into the picture. I tried looking into it, but I'm not Big Brother class hacker either, so... :) The picture info is encrypted, but someone with a supercomputer might crack it. :)

You're right. I'm one of those. :) If there are major landmarks, of some sort, or some kind of information putting me in a certain area, I can do a lot of research to pinpoint locations. Several of us, here, have shown that ability. Just recognizing topography that is similar to locations we've been can tell us what state or area of the country it is....and then the rest is research. :)

@Isafarmboy didn't give me much to go on with his picture, but I did figure he may be around the Eastern Irrigation Region...but can't be sure. The only numbers off his picture kept taking me to the Gulf of Guinea, so I imagine there's some kind of encryption keeping me from reading it directly off of the picture. :)
