Here's a little more detail:
- "You can pay me now, or pay me later.": This slogan emphasizes the importance of regular oil filter replacement for engine health and longevity.
- The commercial often depicted a mechanic explaining that using a quality filter like Fram could save the customer money in the long run by preventing engine damage.
- While Fram also uses other slogans like "For Your Road Ahead", "Filtration for Total Vehicle Protection", and "Trusted Performance and Reliability Since 1934", the "pay me now or pay me later" slogan is the one most associated with the brand.
- The slogan was introduced in 1971 according to www.fram.com.

Otherwise, I'm really happy with the time I spent researching before buying it in 2015. It's like me, the red-headed step child. That 4" barrel is kind of an anomaly stuck between the compact barrels(3.8") and the full size (5.0"). Even though I could probably conceal the fullsize, I was more concerned with keeping the gun as legal as possible with the 10 round concealable being legitimate in any state, limiting magazine sizes to 10 rounds.
I can carry extra mags, plenty of belt room.

I have enough AR-15’s, but I’d be curious to see under the handguard to know if those are MD legal. If the barrel’s not necked down anywhere it’s good.sawmill, Feedman, broke down plumber and 4 others Thank this. -
Edit: Correction, the SA-16 is patterened after the M-16 A2, not the A4.Last edited: Aug 12, 2025 at 8:28 PM

Phrase was: " Well, just write it on the wall." Meant you stuck the time or cash out expense in you memory and some day some way, there came an opportunity. The wall always "rounded "up, and had an amazing automatic calculation of any "inflation."sawmill, Feedman, broke down plumber and 2 others Thank this. -

It just felt right when you gripped it. Not the best for todays world as a personal weapon, but a pleasure to shoot. I think the "plow handle "
grip design and its weight were effective counter balances to it's output.
A 38-40 Colt revolver refers to a Colt Single Action Army (also known as the Peacemaker) revolver chambered for the .38-40 Winchester Center Fire (WCF) cartridge. This cartridge, also known as .38 WCF, was initially designed for lever-action rifles before being adapted for use in revolvers. The .38-40 is a .40 caliber cartridge that shoots a 180-grain bullet at around 700-800 feet per second.Feedman, broke down plumber, Big Road Skateboard and 3 others Thank this. -
