Very glad to hear. I'm glad she's getting the needed prayers, as I try to remember to include her in my night time prayers as well....if I don't nod off from exhaustion, that is.. :(

The modern version of that is probably the .357 Mag, also a mostly wheelgun caliber, but I do have rifles chambered in .357.

Maryland has "Assault Weapon" laws. If it's too scary looking it's illegal.

Thanks for this update. It’s made my wife and I day or, maybe even week?

Not much gets through this nasty and mean old man but, kids being sick is one of them..

I walked in last night hot, tired and pretty much had a grump on until I was met with this— her and Granny built my favorite cookies and they are tasty

Back in the early 90’s at some point, certain rifles and shotguns were subject to an additional background check administered by the State Police. We called that “regulated”. One was the AR-15, but heavy barrel rifles were exempted.

In 2013 after Sandy Hook, the lowlife governor we had then forced through a bunch of new gun control crap in an attempt to set himself up for a presidential run which failed miserably. The former “regulated” firearms are now banned, but heavy barrel rifles are still exempt.

Now, every idiot with more than 12 seconds experience with an AR-15 knows that a heavy barrel means the same thickness from the barrel nut out to the gas block and not necked down under the handguard, but here in MD we have Battered Gun Owners Syndrome.

What’s that, you ask? Think of it like Stockholm Syndrome.

At some point, some tard wrote a letter to the State Police asking the incredibly stupid question of “gee, how are we supposed to know what an HBAR is?”

The MSP said “We don’t know. What are you asking us for?”

A short time later they put out a GUIDANCE (there’s a reason I capitalized that) saying a heavy barrel is any barrel that’s stamped “HBAR” or advertised as such by the manufacturer, which we all know could any #### thing.

Now this is where the BGOS comes in. We have people treating that MSP “guidance”, which legally is nothing more than a suggestion, as passed and signed black letter law and anyone with half a brain knows it absolutely isn’t. I for one refuse to subscribe to that line of thinking and will stick to what I know. But don’t say that on a certain MD based firearms forum that I don’t post on anymore unless you want to be declared a pariah.

No wonder they're always stopping me going through there...I must be scary looking. :) Maryland is a joke, but that's another subject for another day. :)
    Thanks.
