I've run out of my normal podcasts I listen to while driving.

Looking around on Spotify and I found some old radio episodes of Gunsmoke. They've been fun to listen to.

Instantly recognized the voice of Chester, who was Mayor Stoner on Andy Griffith, and Doc's voice was Floyd the barber.

The whole dyno tuning is like setting the timing on a B model. You pin time it to get close then warm it up and put the timing indicator on it and make adjustments.

So after making engine mods some guys just use a remote tune to start one and get it to a dyno. There is no way of looking at previous test hits so the dyno loads it so you can actually see what’s going on and make adjustments to the ECM. You can have 2 identical builds but the final adjustments be radically different

The exhaust note will give them away. The 12 liter 60’s sounded normal. The 14 liters were VGT and they had that annoying hiss like a Mack ASET.

The Mercedes engines always sounded like they had a misfire.

Been busy. Will read up later. But you want Roder Racing Monroville, Ohio. Used to be old school Harley shop. Now just independent. Call and speak with George. If he can't do it. He will know who can. They have been around for ever. His father George Sr.was a flat track racing champ. They will make it run however you please.

Dyno on site. They will take good care of you.

If you look at the EU engines, and compare to the “DD” series sold in the U.S. market. They have quite a bit in common. The DD13 is almost a perfect match to the MBE 4000.
Mercedes and Detroit Diesel are under the same parent company, they are separate entities. I am sure they share technology.
