No. I've been planning on buying a new trailer with a slider, but have kinda talked myself out of it due to weight.
So, I checked on the underbeam lift from Hendrickson. It's only 500$ or so my Pete dealer says, but figured it couldn't take much to make one myself.
I'll have to add a shutoff valve to the front axle line to the bags, and I'll have to add another valve to let the air out of the bags.
Where is everyone #5

My Barrett spread has a lift axle on the rear. I gotta admit I do like that more than I ever thought I would.
-
Just make sure you can lift it high enough. Otherwise it'll square the tires if they skid while the whole trailer bounces when you hit a dip in the road.Sons Hero, D.Tibbitt, exhausted379 and 9 others Thank this.

You can plumb in a valve to disable the service brakes when the axle is raised.D.Tibbitt, exhausted379, JolliRoger and 8 others Thank this.

Even so...they're still not turning when they hit pavement. I see lots of skids right after a dip in the road. I know guys that refuse to use the system when they know there's crappy roads...even railway tracks.beastr123, D.Tibbitt, exhausted379 and 9 others Thank this.

That works pretty good. But #### if all that dirt on the edge doesn't make me nervous

Me too, and we pressure washed everything we could get right before pulling the valve cover, and after blowing all the loose dirt away.
I need to get one of those pneumatic suction hose deals anyway to suck any fluid out of the injector hole. We'll spend some time cleaning as best we can when we put the new injector in.exhausted379, Feedman, Gatordude and 6 others Thank this. -
seen one of dem made from a 55gal oil drum , hooked air compressor hose to it .

Have used something similar for brick pointing, a couple of small hoses going out to the grinders to suck in the dust, a small water pump inside to act like a sprinkler of sorts. Essentially a big bong for masonry. The chamber is split in two with water on the bottom. Dusty air comes in one side, dust gets trapped in the water and the suction is on the cleaner sideFeedman, broke down plumber, Gatordude and 3 others Thank this.
