Make that say a 56, conventional with a 283 V8 and a 3 way. Single drive, same tandem, trailer but sideboards say 18" high and tarped. T.J. Blackburn Syrup Works out of Jefferson, TX.Load was cartons of 1 gallon cans of molasses.
Heavy loads; low slung, give you more sometimes than you wanted on old US 78 from Heflin mountain to Atlanta.

My wife sent me the pic. Guy needs a service call at the OK WB POE to pull the steer tires. He told her his impact battery died.

Apparently steer tires were spinning off the drives.

 

Notice the curl at the lower part of the grill, it has chicken roost steering. Only the very early VAC’s had that….

I do not recall seeing one with a curl. Did have experience with similar but straight/moderate arm, on the steer spindle.
Hard to make RH turn at row end close to fence. Curl would have kept from snagging?

Where ya at today? Good to see some snow up high. Just a little frosting through CO week before last around 12k'.

 

Just south of SLC in utah. Heading 2 denver with this foam. Woke up to 38 this morning. Winter is coming!
