In that case they shouldn't be allowed in places where they need a hard hat. If they show up and try to use that for a reason not to wear a hard hat ,they should be told to leave and don't come back.

 

The guard at Special Metals ( Nickel Plant ) in Huntington was fuming!! Driver told him he was not able to put the hard hat over his head wrap, said it wouldn’t fit. They have a very strict policy there on PPE.

They have an assortment of boots with steel toes and hard hats in the guard shack because so many drivers are not properly equipped with PPE, it’s kinda ridiculous in my opinion that a company needs to do that….
