Yes I believe he did post it . He got a lot crap about he should have known better and him trying to do RGN loads on a stepdeck. Didn't see him around much after that. At least that's the way I remember it.

Tell em to leave and come back tomorrow. Poor planning on their part is not your problem.
I only haul for dedicated customers now and I can usually get away with just showing up at their shop whenever but I also know their hours and break/lunch times and just dont even bother going during those times.
For jobsites I always call ahead. Sometimes the jobsite calls me first. I never call until I'm loaded and leaving. If they call before I just tell them I have no ETA until I actually leave the customer. If travel time is more than a single day I only give a day that I expect to be there. No times. I always tell them I'll call back the day before and can usually give a time +/- 1 hour of arrival.Last edited: Jan 31, 2026

I call them both before I move the truck. If the broker won't give me a #, find someone else to haul it.
That has saved me a bunch of time and money.
Let me correct that. I try to call. I have to leave messages often because my receivers often won't have service, but they always call back.
Brokers have bad info frequently. Address, hours, phone #'s, who to talk to, how to get in there, etc.Last edited: Jan 31, 2026

You know how I always say that there’s not a big difference between average, and the guy on top, but there are a million little differences. A phone call to the customer lets you know
1. Shipping receiving hours
2. Whether or not they have a way to unload (crane, tire truck, inside/outside dock)
3. Special hours of operation from holidays or weather
4. Overnight parking ( my preference for high value loads) on site
5. Nearby restaurants ( I have had security run me to restaurants before)
6 Dunnage needs
7. Better usage of HOS
8. A contact person you can ask for by name.
There’s levels to this stuff. Communication with customers is a small investment that almost always pays off big.CAXPT, JolliRoger, blairandgretchen and 11 others Thank this. -
For a time, he was driving someone’s 5 axle tractor (1 steer, 2 drives, 2 dummies) pulling an RGN with way too short of a neck. Someone pointed it out and he took offense. Swore up and down that everyone was jealous. Tempers flared, and members got banned. Next, he started posting load pics of divisible loads. He didn’t get it, tempers flared and members got banned. Last but not least was his ramps on the step deck where some track machine that was too heavy ripped off the back of the step deck. Once again, members tried to warn him but he believed that the RGN guys were jealous.
Zero understanding of safety, or what constitutes a non-divisible load.CAXPT, JolliRoger, blairandgretchen and 9 others Thank this. -

Two things I noticed:
1. You can hear the turbo is spooled up right until about 50-60 feet before he smokes the truck. I think the driver wasn't fully paying attention
2. On the long shot of the highway leading up to the rest area exit you can see there is plenty of highway to accurately judge if it's safe to pull onto the highway or not.
I say 50/50 on this one. -
Driver failure. Should have seen that coming.
