That is sand blasting from road debris, the front of the fender is pretty flat and takes a ton of abuse, those were shoddily painted like 5 years ago before I bought the truck, both are getting replaced this spring do to deer on the drivers side and horrible wear on the passengerCAXPT, cke, Carpenter Scotty and 7 others Thank this.

It's fun with trucks day, sick of the old one being a pain in the ###, not willing to rebuild it for almost the price of the new one, so I figured after 22 years she has done her time. Also need to fix the slider mechanism and get to some air leaks under neath that are a lot easier with the plate off
