Got the rad fixed yesterday went to town to pick it up this morning. Lot more damage than i originally thought but looks like they did a good job. They said they cant gurantee its gonna stay cool in the summer down here since its so many tubes were broken. Gave $800 quote for a brand new one.. figured that wasnt bad at all if we need to go that route. Gonna see how this one goes as is. $320 for the fix and pressure test to make sure its not leaking, straightened all the bent fins as well. Great service honestly. You've got a lot more air flow than my truck, and I've got several pinched from when my fan broke. Mine didn't change.

I bet you'll be fine as long as exhaust/turbo and CAC and hoses are good.

Good to know. Ive never had a radiator repaired on a truck before so wasnt sure. Guess we will see how it goes. It hardly ever hit 200 degrees before no matter what even pulling mountains in the summer

I know you got this and probably already have, but I'd double check that CAC for any cracks or holes too. Sure don't want any dust finding a way into there.

@D.Tibbitt I would take a look at the rad after the first good pull you do. I have gotten the odd one fixed on gensets and they would not leak until I had the engine at 95% load or better. The rad shop just couldn't get the core hot enough to open the gap I guess.

10-4 thanks for the info. I will make sure to keep an eye on it. I put some 5 gallons in it tonight and so far no leaks
