I like Gerold's channel, even though it is much the same each episode he doesn't do stupid crap just for the sake of content like many youtubers.

He's about the only "YouTube Trucker" I watch and its because of that reason. Plus he actually knows what he's doing, unlike a lot of the other channels.

This is the problem with parts nowadays. They all seem to be foreign made and its 50/50 if its gonna work and/or last. IF the switch was US made with noticeably better quality then I can swallow a higher price. Infact I'd bet a dollar to a donut that the paccar switches come off the same assembly line in Mexico as other aftermarket brands.

I really think the bigger issue with the dealer is the dealer parts guys are commission based pay. This gives them less incentive to sell parts and a reasonable price and keep it as close to the crazy msrp as possible. This isnt the 1st time its happend to me at a Pete dealer either. Last one was doing front cab mounts. Parts guy that I use regularly at the local dealer tells me the mounts are $40ish iirc. I say perfect I need both sides. He gets the parts and the total was over $300. He tried selling me each bushing, a top and a bottom for 40/each x4. Then tried selling me 2 new bolts for over $30/ea and cant for get the bushing and washers for another $30/ea.

I noped right out of those parts, got the top/bottom for the driver side and got the bolt/washer/bushing at the hardware store for about $8. Then ordered the same bushings for the passenger side for $30 online.

Yep that #### grinds my gears too. Its gotton to the point if it aint a life or death part, like internals or something that needs to be oem i will just buy it on amazon or any other aftermarket brand. Same cheap quality for 80% less in price and i dont got to waste gas going to town
