Yessir. I can't convince myself to go buy anything new so I figured I'd put a little money into what I already have.
The van will be getting new rear hubs, shocks, a rack and pinion and cv axles. Today was the window motor and regulator.
I have a 94 Dakota that we'll put a little work into as well. If I can find a way without spending a fortune I might as power windows to my '06 F-250.Feedman, FullMetalJacket, CAXPT and 8 others Thank this. -
I've got a 02 Dakota, it's been one of the most reliable pickups I've ever owned. I've replaced both front door window motors and regulators it's a 4 door. Just replaced brakes and rotors and drums. 248,000 miles . It ain't nothing to look at but it goes wherever I need it to.Feedman, CAXPT, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 6 others Thank this.

I just sold an 02 Durango. Went through the wife, two kids and a hurricane. Was still kicking at 198,000. Wouldn’t have been afraid to take it across countryFeedman, CAXPT, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 6 others Thank this.

Boss had a 98 Durango he loved, plowed snow with it for years, traded it in at the right time. Dealer had it when the top of the strut tower mount blew out. Was a pig on fuel, but did the work well
Added edit. Year could be incorrect, was the first generation Durango, whichever yearLast edited: Mar 15, 2026

This Dakota I have is handy. I traded some truck parts to get it. I treat it like a side by side out checking cows. Smokes a little if you let it idle too long. I suppose eventually I'll go through the engine. It has the 318 in it

I've never had much luck with Dodge. We did have an 04? Dakota with the V8 and 5spd. It was fun to drive.
I buy my wife new vehicles. We ride the hell out of em till they quit, then scrap it and buy another. Usually we get 250k out of em.
I ride mine like a rented mule, so I keep junk.Feedman, CAXPT, JolliRoger and 5 others Thank this. -
I never had much luck with Dodge either. Had a 2nd Gen Ram once and ironically the only problem it didn't have was the dash falling apart lol.
Feedman, CAXPT, JolliRoger and 2 others Thank this. -
