    Man, I had a case of them about 15 years ago, uncomfortable as it gets. Actually plum painful. Had mine on the inside of my left elbow and in my left arm pit. In the summertime. Walked around like a gorilla most of the time. I have great sympathy for you!

    if my memory serves me correctly, they are caused by the same virus as chickenpox. And your body creates a similar immunity. Doc told me there’s a chance they’d come back, but not very likely. And you could get shingles again by being in contact with someone with chickenpox. They will not cross from one side of the body to the other however, if you have them on the right, and you ever get them again, it be the right side again, and likely the same location. The spots will be very sensitive to cold for a couple years, I thought of that for six or eight years after mine cleared up. Just kinda ached when the temp dropped
