Where is everyone #5

There's not even any scratches in the paint on the counterweight from backing into things and running over big rocks (and the quick change forks- looking at you Gene). Do you even use it or is it just for lookin'?

 

Oh, we use it. One of our guys gave the counterweight a quick Earl Scheib paint job. We do properly chastise ANYONE, including me, via the radio that everyone has, if they scratch counterweights on the loader or any of the excavators though!

 

I thought they were the dedicated scratching post

 

Somewhere in the world there was once a devise for butt welding cut off lengths of continuous bandsaw material together; to make a replacement blade for your shop hacksaw. Flat surface anvil portion, smooth, accurate, meeting fit. Turn it on and spot welded together, endless..

 

Its sure been awhile.
