Lots of the guys are from different times. Years ago, no one coddled drivers. You ran the truck like you owned it. You fixed what you could, and you ran like the wind. What you couldn’t fix, a shop would. And you were expected to climb underneath and adjust the breaks, check the tires and fluids.

Nowadays, they don’t want you guys to touch anything. See, whenever you see the threads on driver pay, then and now, and someone complaining about how drivers today make less, just remind them that drivers today DO less.
