Yep. I was parked in the front corner, pulled in facing the building. Opened the front of my curtains to see the Denny's sign as big as it could be, and started to feel a little down.

Two weeks on the road, my step son and his family are at the house for a surprise visit with their youngest that I haven't met yet, and will be gone before I can get back home. Dropped $2200 on the truck repair. Hot, dry southern California weather for 5 days. And here is the culmination of crap... staring me in the face on a Sunday morning is not my wonderful wife, telling me to make coffee while she starts breakfast, but a big ### Denny's sign. So... it got to me.

I get dressed and ready to go eat, step out of the truck, and the morning air was just perfect. I look over and there is the city all lit up, so I sat back against my step and took a deep breath. Ah finally I thought, I can breathe deep without my lungs turning into fiberglass.

So I'm sitting there enjoying the view of the city, working on getting my head straight, when the first light starts to peek around the hills. And as I sat, something turned in my mind. As the morning light began to make itself known, I remembered that I'm alive, have a beautiful wife who loves me in spite of myself, great kids, and a home to go to.

So I say to myself, "You're alright man, it ain't that bad. In fact, you got it pretty #### good. Now stop whining and let's get to work." Then I went and took that pic.

I can’t “thank” this post enough.

It’s tough out here sometimes. There’s good days, there’s bad days, and sometimes there’s days like this. But that “quit whining and get to work” attitude gets ya through.

One more reason I love this thread right here. We’ve all been there, and we understand.

    Great pic by the way.

Hey, I get it, I'm sure every one of us do. I go through it almost every night, lol, then I see my wife and son every morning and think the same thing, how lucky I am.

Glad it didn't last long for ya though.

Need to find a guy like this closer to home. He's a little hard to understand sometimes but you'd kill for one of his doughnuts! LOL

Similar, mine had the smart wheel and a shorter shifter and I didn’t have the phone holder or the Garmin. Mine did have the stereo in the dash instead of the headliner, I loved it there. My CB was in the headliner.
