Here's a old flooding story... Don't give a #### if ya believe it or not....got a plate full of sirloin and baked taters..
Correct me if I'm wrong but 1948..the river decided your banks are to low...grandpa didn't have a pot or a window but he had a dozer..
That levee that's there today he built.
Little back story...my uncle at the time was 13 and lived downtown ....had a pair of them white patten leather shows...his pride a joy....
They got evacuated but my uncle had just polished those shoes and set them on the table....well the table went up and down with the water. When they went back in the only thing that shined was them #### shoes...
I been told that story for years....even wrote a report for school one year.. .fifth grade maybe..
Grandpa eventually got paid... ..the fella with the shoes ended up marrying my mom's sister.
In '93 we was sand bagging the same levee....pulling out trailers....wife's mama got cancer that year....she lost the battle with in '94....
Gotta load in the morning... ..best of luck to you '51...if ya think I can help holla...

Sounds like a prime example of why some of us (been driving since the 80').... get a bad reputation from the younger generation lol.
I don't think y'all will have that problem with a certain "new hire", pretty sure @stwik will be a hard cat to track after.....
Be safe out there, I'm on my way to pick up 400 cases of Coors.... no wait!! I'm going to New York

The AN-124 Antanov we use I believe is a bit smaller than a C-5 however the AN-225 (6 engines and a split vertical stabilizer) is considerably larger than the C-5. I've worked with the AN-124's for over 23 years, have only seen the AN-225 from across the airport. It's my understanding the 225 was built to piggy-back the Russian version of our Space Shuttle. Since both programs are got the Russians have started renting them out as well also flying under the name Heavy Lift.
That they do, we haul all kinds of oversize freight in them, pieces for 747's, wings for business jets and occasionally a truck or three.

Where did you find an empty BA trailer?
As for the mouth breathers, ran into a new one today, been there, done that guy that's hauled the stuff we only dream of and already picking out the color of his new T-8. Of course I'm pulling a connie so I just let him "tell" me about the big stuff he's been hauling here in his few months of employment. There are days when having a Canada truck and the wonderful 105km governor comes in handy as I let him drive away still on the radio "educating" me about all things SPD.BigBob410, wore out, Crusader66 and 15 others Thank this. -
