Preplan, that's funny right there. My pre-plan, unload this wing and take the trailer back to Texas. Frantic phone call "have you left yet" to which I reply, I have the left wing, it's lunch break, you did this for how many years? Of course I haven't left yet. So I get "okay, leave that trailer, go grab a Weatherford Skin trailer at Y, take it to Weatherford, unload, reload, rinse, repeat.

And 2 minutes later, the next call "stay there, unload the wing, take the trailer to Bulldog THEN go do Weatherford.

 

Dump is not running as fast as the last few days. Someone blew a pto line in dump 2 and crapped the bed.

 

Oh my!

Since vise grips are on topic.....
Couple years after my daughter was born in 88, I drove for H&W. And like many today had strict rules about "altering" their trucks. I drove a 1987 Cabover Kenworth with a 365 Cummins / 9spd.... most where actually a 13 with a 9 spd knob, all about fuel ya know lol. Anyway, as most of us know a dime with a hole drilled in it or some "visegrips" would throw a little extra pressure on the injectors. 4 of us loaded tubs for CSX out of Johnstown, PA to be delivered in Raceland, KY csx yard. Underdog drove a red 379 Pete with a 400 Cat, Mr. C drove a T600 with a 400 Cat, Treeclimber had a 365 as I did. As you know it takes tuning to get the right squeeze on that line.... coming down I-79 I could just out pull Underdog by a little bit, before I couldn't do that. Well he was like driver B as mentioned in another post.... goody 2 shoes. Mechanics helper told me a few days later that my truck was pulled in for inspection, he smiled when he told me he gained a nice pair of visegrips.... also told me he gave the office a clean inspection on my truck .
