In all seriousness I love to go to a restaurant by myself and sit there and read while I eat. I’ve done that for years, I always keep reading material in the car. That’s why my wife says I’m weird, she refuses to eat in a restaurant by herself. That’s why I like going to trade shows like the truck show, con expo, farm science review, etc. because I can gather up reading material that interest me

 

I've told new bosses before that i would rather have you annoyed at a few extra questions than mad at a screw up.

 

I used to say there were no stupid questions, I’ve backed off on that.

 

The further reality is "The Doc" (if married) would also be the type of guy who would be absolutely enraged if his wife ever cheated on him.... I ran into so many guys like that when I was in the Navy. They'd go out with the attitude of "it's not cheating if it's in another zip code or country herp a derp la dur dur", but then go on to make the statement of:

"Man, if I ever found out my wife/girlfriend cheated on me while I was gone I'd be so mad".

My response to someone who said that was "Actually, I hope the next time we head out she's got a whole gang of lonely sailors to entertain, because you deserve it"

 

Just when I thought I was going to get something done...these s-cam boxes are marked wrong. And finding 4 new ones 1/2" longer on a weekend here is about like trying to milk a chicken.

suggest to him that a 9:00 pm call to the warehouse manager is warranted if not required as somebody up the chain has cost you 2 full days revenue.

 

I wanna hear more about milking a chicken, unless it’s like choking one then I’m out.

 

Fortunately for me this old Pete needs enough other work I can keep busy all weekend on other stuff waiting for the parts house to open again.

 

I can seriously relate to that JD.

My friends hate going to the truck shows or equipment shows or expos with me cause I end up reading all the literature i can find and asking lots of questions to the reps.

 

I enjoy learning. The difference between Study and Reading is reading is recreation. It helps me to stay sharp and learn quickly, and continue to be able to think outside the box.

I like eating in restaurants by myself. I like to watch movies by myself because I don’t want to miss any detail.
