Good question. What I wonder is how did he reach the conclusion that his best course of action was to keep going ? He's such a danger that he shouldn't have any kind of license at all. Ever.
-
I’m guessing he entered from an interchange where the ramps form 4-way intersections with the cross street.

My wife and a friend of ours was riding with me back from town one night back in the 80's.....going across the bridge just south of the drags I ran over a hood laying in the road. Got stopped and turned around and there was a car flipped over on this little narrow bridge....no lights. Luckily we were in my supra or we would have hit the car. Flagged down a bullhauler that was coming up on it to block the road and went to the accident.
A guy that was in my wife's class was wondering around on the bridge in shock. Left our friend with him and ran into the little town there and woke up the city cop I knew. Never did know what happened. The guy still today doesn't remember the accident or that we were even there. He ended up with a broken femur and a bump on his noggin. -
Unreal.
I hear the guy on the radio making threats. He's not helping.
Don't mean to kill you with boredom, but bear with me:
You ever talk to a shipper or a receiver and ask for directions? The majority of people do not know how to get to their job. They know where it's at, but they don't know how to get there. If they know how to get there, they will easily be able to tell you how.
Most people who are killed in an auto accident die within a few miles of their home. They should know the roads like the back of their hands, right? So, what goes wrong?
We program our brain to think a certain way. It's like leaving the house and coming to a fork in the road. "Do I go right or left?" Say for example there's a gas station to the right with a really cute cashier. You go to the right. You stop there to get fuel just to see her smile. Soon, it becomes habit. It's locked in to the brain. When the cute girl quits, you will still go to the right because that is now your habit.
One day, you go to the right and there's road construction and you're late for work. The next day you get up earlier to go to the right.
"Hey Six, wouldn't it be easier to go to the left?"
Yes, but YOU ask that because it's not your habit. Once things become HABIT, the brain is programmed to do that.
Well, some people decide to program their brain to be stupid. We normally do this when we become teens. Why? Because we learn from the media and television that Stupid has the most fun. Remember, STUPID is having intelligence but failing to use it to our benefit. Remember those famous last words, "Hey Yall, Watch This!"? So, you program yourself to be stupid and becomes hard to change. And the world sees things like this
It was all fun and games as a kid, but suddenly, when you have to get out and pave your own way, the stupid programming prevents logical thinking.
Why is Stupid flocking into trucking? Because that's who the industry is looking for. Put in in a truck chocked full of cattleprods and he will be safe. And when he screws up and kills someone, throw him under the bus. -
Saw a guy that took an old Ford tractor and made a gigantic dually pickup out of it. Would love to do the same thing with that old green cornbinder. Well, heck...the Mack would do too.

You're right about how the media has been portraying Stupidity as an admirable trait. That Jackbutt Show is a prime example. Survivor too in my opinion. The ex was a TV addict so I saw a little of the first seasons where the best, most useful contestant was eliminated by the rest of the fool's and leeches. That was the true link with Reality. Like several of you said yesterday about the Sports millionaire convicts, it's not interesting. Not only that but a large percentage of the players are a bad influence on the younger generations. I should have tempered my earlier post by saying if ( Big IF ) that guy can get his mindset corrected then he should have a chance to hold a license. He doesn't sound panicked on the radio but his actions sure do make it look like that is what state he's in.
