IT was a great operation, had friends leased there, they absolutely loved it. I seriously debated leasing to IT,as they ran everywhere, and I mean everywhere. But you had to pull their wagon, and I always liked the extra revenue of my own trailer. But I know they had good rates, trip leased to them a few times, might have been a wash pulling their trailer. Doesn't matter, all the good ones are long gone now anyways.

I was thinking they told me that IT sold to Schneider in the mid 80s, but didnt change the name to Schneider Specialize until 90s? That's when it really went down hill I guess from what I remember them saying.

Somehow Maverick was involved, but I cant exactly remember that part.

I just got a 10k bill from lawyer and felt the same way. Its to much at any price for me to give them snakes. But I figured it would be double.

They came 75 miles, towed him 200 miles and went back 125 miles. On a Sunday ...

Unfortunately- all the news today has been bad.

That happens every time a beancounting door slamming outfit tries to branch out into different areas.

It’s like low end streetwalkers trying to jump in and compete with high end girls. Screws up the customer base, screws up the prices, causes more run ins with the Law, and property damage.

Gotta love the “corporate” mentality.

“No wonder this company’s numbers didn’t look to our standards on paper. These drivers were treated entirely too well.”

Was loading up at CNH in Fargo. A driver pulling a step gets my attention.

“Do you really have to secure the buckets on these tractors?”(points to the truck across the street.)

Yessir. And you’re supposed to have 4 points securement on those tractors as they are over 10000 lbs, and you only have two.

“Well I have been hauling these things for years this way and never had a problem.”

If that’s the case, why did you as ask me about the buckets?

He gave me that look. That “you’re an A Hole” look. No more words. He left, I printed permits and flagged and bannered. I get on 94, go east and end up inside the morehead scale. Guess who’s around back engaged in a shouting match with a scale master?

I go inside to show the permits and registration and he and the scale master comes in to read the Bible. Scale master looks at me and asks about wheeled equipment over 10000 lbs.

4 points of securement, plus secure the attachments.

    “Have a good day, driver.”
