Wish I'd seen this earlier as I live here in town. I've seen several guys on here that have mentioned staying in Salina and have yet to meet anyone because I don't usually get around to checking out TTR until this time of night. Maybe next time @stwik .

If this rain would stop right now that would be great. Three tarps to bungee in the morning. Have them pinned and rolled and I’m soaked...

Well got a 7(?) stop load to El Paso and California...

Yeah I’m gonna be feeling it come next week. :(

@Ruthless hope you’re using the hell outta that Chameleon. Or I might come drag it outta your yard ...

No point of mincing words, I got it honest, and not for free, or given to me. I borrowed money 2 times in life from my old man. I think I learned the lesson he was teaching. And I do what I need to do....

So, I have promised pics, and have not gotten to it. If its ok I would like to do a page under flat bedding just dedicated to the old man. If you guys and gals are ok with that? 49 years a owner operator Teamster, F.A.S.H Steel hauler. On and off did a little company man work (shortly) But did pave the way for some of us today. The Original Wild Child, The Double Nickel Champ, Micheal P. Mack

Pic 1 is Yours truly James standing at the bumper of a 1986 FL 400 big cam new. Over my right shoulder is my Step Grandfather "The Colonel" 1982 K100 Glider kit (Green and white KW). Well after he gave up on a Big Al. Anyone recall that purple motor?
The red Fl is a 1979 8V92 silver Detroit that was blue most of its life and my father had been in 2 bad roll overs, not his fault, almost killed him and sold it to cousin Bob. Painted it red for him as part of the deal. Pops was never getting in that truck again.
Pic 2 is same truck picking up new City Weld doubles in PA. 1987 or 1988.
Pic 3 and 4 are a 1974 K100 420 NTA small cam with a new 1980 City 3-9's new, then with side kit. This was not the original paint as when he bought it new in 1974. Painted By Ed Dickson in Waverly, Ohio 1979ish, and they painted side kit to match. Last I knew Ed id still sneaking around. I have more to add, just a taste. And the 1974 was the old mans favorite ride with Ed's craftsmanship on the metal.

Well here is the 1974 K100 about new original paint in either New Mexico or Utah. Step decking. I want to say that was a 1961 Rogers. Don't hold me to that. Then moved up to steel hauling, notice the aluminum wheel change. The cover wagon was a TrailCo Air Spring Air set up. Rumor has it, they were good for 150k plus on the deck. Later he went to aluminum wheels on trailers and guys called him Mr. Shinny Wheels. But for him it was all about what they didn't weigh, not how they looked.
