    Needed more sauce

But after waiting around for 30 minutes for a different waiter to tell me she didn’t put my order in... I ate it, threw 16 bucks on the table, and scrammed... bleh.

Well I meant to take a picture of it plated before consumption however the asparagus disappeared while the steak was on the griddle so it would have been a center cut sirloin on a paper plate. It was good and certainly better than anything they are selling inside the Loves here where I'm parked.

I see yours is an Iron Skillet dinner, not bad at all except the only thing on that plate I could eat is the meat. Carbs and Type 2 are a bad combination. I was at the point of having to take diabetic medication so I left the doctors office one day and decided there has to be a better way. I changed my diet entirely that same day, 3 months later and the Dr reduced my medication by 1/2. 3 more months go by, I've lost just over 20 pounds and the Dr had me stop all medication. I did just have to go back on a very low dose of blood pressure meds but that's 110% stress related.

I now cook every meal in the truck and both my health and my wallet thank me greatly for it. My grocery bill runs just about $100 every 2 weeks and that's for 3 meals a day, every day (roughly $7.15 a day or $2.38 per meal) and that includes water (1 gallon a day), my morning cold brew coffee, also made in the truck every other day. 6 or 7 years ago I started cooking in the truck and taking the difference of what I used to spend going inside to eat (I budgeted $25 a day) and putting it in a coffee can. After one month I counted out the money in the can and realized I really can afford that expensive car I always thought was just out of reach. Fast forward a few years and I quit driving and take a position at a Casino. I started eating with the rest of the staff in my department 1 - 2 times a day at the casino (nice to be in management and have the ability to department charge your meals LOL) and bam, blood pressure starts going north fast, A1C climbs like a rocket, Dr visits become once every 3 months instead of once every 2 years, clothes stop fitting and the list just kept growing but I was "living the life". One day the Dr, looking at my blood work, says something about insulin and that scared the shiet out of me. First loosing my medicals, both DOT and Aviation and second, I don't like needles, it was stressful enough having the extremely cute nurse with the cute little behind stab my arm once every 3 months but the thought of having to give myself a shot every day, that was the end of all of it for me. (I do miss the nurse but she has since become my daughter-in-law so I can't look at her the same anymore anyway)

I still eat out but now it's once or twice a month and when I do it's someplace like Chester's Chophouse, LG's or something like that. Expensive but my treat to me for doing the right thing for my health and drive the car that I thought I couldn't afford to get there and back LOL.
