Where is everyone #5

I hit up a bar with @Weeble Kneeble lastnight then made it to his house. Told my wife I’d only be out for a couple drinks and home early. Around 0245 this morning I stumbled in.

At least she let you in the house. It's been 30 yrs since I done that, she locked the door and left me passed out on the front porch till around 12 noon. In the sun too!!!

 

Exactly what @Rontonio says, not only for the health and wealth benefits but if your wanting to work your way into the big loads you'll need to be self-sufficient for up to several days. I've been dumped at the scales on 60 in Missouri by the state police when rioting broke out in St Louis for a week. There's literally NOTHING anywhere near there. Same with the super-load inspection area in Missouri coming out of Oklahoma, been stranded there for a week.

It doesn't happen often and usually you'll have pilots that you can get to either watch the load while you run to town or take you to town. However there's times where you have to cut the pilots loose which leaves you nowhere for days.

 

A friend of ours saw him in Nashville this past wednesday & said that he put on a good show.
The wife & I went to Nashville last night to watch Lynyrd Skynyrd on their farewell tour along with Bad Company & Jamey Johnson. All 3 put on a great show.Johnson really surprised me because I had never heard him anywhere but on the radio. He is a really good singer.
