We went to Sleepy Hollow tonite n saw some Halloween themed stuff, a one man show re-telling the legend of sleepy hollow (dude was corny as ####) then a haunted trail type of thing that was good.

All y’all out of Towners heard of the legend of sleepy hollow/ the Headless Horseman? Hard to know how far that story goes across the country.

 

Made it to Illinois lol

Heard it here in Oklahoma since I was a little Cub. Seen numerous movies, TV shows, books etc.,

Thanks- sometimes you hear stories growing up and dont realize they are “local lore” and not nationally recognized; then reference said story n people don’t know what the hell youre talking about.
Ie Sybil Ludington. That’s local enough to me; my father was born n raised in the town it happened in (female Paul Revere, look it up) but people 20 miles away don’t know bout it?
Or Rip Van Winkle, the Dutchman who slept 100 years.
Or PT Barnum a la Barnum & Bailey circus fame: drove an elephant thru a local town to me way back in the day, n lived locally for a long time n was locally involved.

 

We are on the same diet..although at 275-290 , I am more accomplished. Probably an age thing

 

Yeah I've heard that one since I was a kid. We took the girls trick or treating tonight. Just got back a little bit ago. I have enough candy to chew on for awhile now lol
