Ever have a run with zero traffic, to the point that your trip takes less than half the time you budgeted, and the whole time you are suspicious because in 15 years there’s never been “no traffic”..?
Is today a holiday I don’t know about?Zeviander, Tug Toy, 4mer trucker and 19 others Thank this. -
National cat day. It's the day that some people shoot cats with bb guns.

Some people say if you can make it here you can make it anywhere- this shining example shows me some people can make it here; but prolly wouldn’t make it anywhere else.

We were talking about some trucking songs over the last couple weeks. @wore out got it all started when he posted that song by Mickey Lamantia "outlaw life".
I put the song "Hes the Southern Shaker " and Long Haul Paul "Thirty Weight coffee" on. I know over time we've had alot of others.
Didnt know if any of you guys ever heard of Smokin Joe Lee Smith. He had a album back in the 80s. Had some cool tunes, talked bout old school, outlaw truckin stuff. like this one ..."Reefer Madness".

Yes, yes I have. When I left Savannah last time, two weeks ago I made it to Macon before curfew. Got up the next morning, waited out Georgia's draconian 1/2 after sunrise curfew and rolled out expecting the usual Atlanta backups. When I hit Kennesaw and had run the speed limit the entire way I was sure I had somehow overslept and was still sleeping, dreaming of driving or I had slipped into an alternate universe.
Alas though, coming back last week I paid the price for the week before and started the backup at Kennesaw finally getting out of it when I took the exit at Jackson.snowman_w900, peterbilt_2005, Tug Toy and 16 others Thank this. -
I have a simple sausage grave recipe. Take a Bob Evans spicey sausage log. Remove package, put it frozen in skillet. As it warms up keep scraping the cooked pieces off, and rotate it. When its now all crumble up sausage start slowly sprinkling in wheat flour. Not even a lot, just so it sticks to meat and suspends the grease. Them hit it with milk, at least 2%. Stir, stir, stir and add some fresh black pepper, and a touch of Cayenne red pepper. It will seem a bit runny but, next thing you know it get thick. Adjust to how you like it.snowman_w900, Tug Toy, 4mer trucker and 13 others Thank this. -
I didn't get fat from my old ladys cooking. I like to eat and waited till 31 to marry so, I learned to cook.snowman_w900, Tug Toy, 4mer trucker and 12 others Thank this.
