I won't even get started on crossed threads other than to say we have some real morons impersonating as mechanics. It's almost a daily occurrence with bolts, nuts, fittings, unions, it's always something.

 

I ain't sure bout that but thanks. For a 27 year old Pete I'm happy with it

Getting ready to blast up through Redding... I’ve been a naughty boy on the pedal today.

 

Perhaps, for example, you have a liner and cylinder kit (#2) put in along with new rod and main bearing plus head gasket and bolts etc.

Then the shop does a test start on it and spins the main bearings in #3 and 4, damages the crank and the block.....

 

Holy crap man....

 

Yeah it’s a mess

We will see what the outcome of this is but a replacement DD16 ain’t cheap. Poor guy has only moved 1.3 loads with it

 

It is only ok if covered with strawberry preserves and real whipped cream.
