Some of don't drive anymore, or rarely drive. For me, it's only at harvest time. There is a very diverse group of fellas here with a lot of knowledge to share, all ya gotta do is ask.:)

Very, very, cool. Esp. to an old Allis-Chalmers guy!
Funny story. Back in the early 70's I was leased to Daily Express,we did a lot of hauling for Allis Chalmers. All new tractor loading was done at Tractor Transport Company in West Allis,Wisc.,they were the house carrier for AC. Picked up a load of new AC's tractors, one going to Frederick,Md.,other up by Pottstown,Pa. Delivered the smaller machine in Frederick on friday, went home for the weekend with the other new tractor. It was a monster,a 7050 AC IIRC. Figured I'd unload it,and play with at home for the weekend. Did a little work with it,had it over at the neighbors place, showing off, time to take it home and load it back up. On the drive back home it started making a tremendous clunking noise coming from the rear. Jeez,it sounded like the finals were coming apart, every revolution of the rear tire was a huge clunk, getting louder and louder rapidly. Just make it back on to the trailer, please. Finally the noise just stopped. Looked behind me,one of the humungous rear wheel weights had fallen off in the road. I was relieved to find the problem, that it wasn't serious, but I had to round up half a dozen neighbors to help me lift that dam thing back on and bolted up.
That stopped me from using undelivered equipment...........for a while, lol.

Well if your an Allie Chalmers man.... I had a AC tractor you would probably like to have had ;). 1960 D14, but instead of having 26" rear rims it had 38" rims. For a good reason too lol.
