Thanks @wore out and @OLDSKOOLERnWV! I'd have asked in a seperate thread but the rest of the forum seems to be infected with a lot of stupid lately. Do they mark the outside of the cam bearings like that as well?

I have never seen oversize cam bearings in a 3406. Not saying they dont. They are a full circle one piece "bushing" so to speak.

You need to stop those right side wheels from spinning. Chain them together or tighten the slack adjusters a bit, just enough to allow the left side to turn. You get the idea?

I get the idea. I just can’t stop the spinning.

Gonna go back to my chain idea tomorrow rather than trying to get them to “drive onto” the chain.

There’s gotta be a way to get the chain on the tires...

PITA. “Why don’t you just ask for a tug?” Well... in a company yard till Monday anyway... not like I’m going anywhere. May as well try to unfawk it myself.

Run a chain thru the holes in the front wheel and thru the holes in the rear wheel and hook the chain together. When you let the clutch out They will turn a bit then tighten the chain and stop.

    It’s an auto... but yeah.

I’m trying to picture what you’re describing here... I am a simple man. With little experience. All I got...wut?

Hook a chain from the right front drive tire rim to the rear drive rim. Then drive forward. It’ll keep them from spinning

I prefer tighting slack adjusters, a chain tears up albumin rims which on a company truck can be a problem.

@wore out is more familiar with the Cat than I am.... on a Cummins like mine the Cam bearings are marked for a certain position in the block. But not oversized that I know of.
