Where is everyone #5

Ok, so I'm messing with my APU which will not start. Basically it's nothing more than a 2 cycle diesel engine.

The starter cranks, but it acts like it has lost prime. Fresh oil, new oil, fuel, and air filters. Took off the inline fuel strainer and cleaned it real good. Glow plugs are working. Fuel comes out of the fuel pump.

I'm at a loss at this point, any ideas?

Rare weekday lunch with the wife and two of the kids. They think it’s weird that dads him and moms at work.

 

@RedForeman posted about a screen that needs to be cleaned or changed out every year I think ? Can you search his post and find it ? I wish I could remember what he said better but I'm hoping this might ring a bell with you quick instead of digging around for a long time before an answer.

 

I just left there. I unloaded at Michigan Cat right off I-75. Howd you know? Did I pass you?

 

Yeah that's the inline strainer for the fuel. I already cleaned that. I think I'm gonna have to replace the fuel pump.

I was up on 35, me and a friend of mine ran across 90 to Toledo and honestly I forgot to go to 19 when I went north On 23.

I musta been in la la land

 

Probably didn't use strong enough language. Ya gotta be forceful to get his attention. Need to string at least 4 straight " stern " words together before his ears tune in.

Edit: he posted that he was on the wrong channel and ruined my admonishment.
Who ya gonna believe ? Him or me ? Truth or a made up story ?

 

I swear if it ain't one thing... looks like flap hangers are in my future...
