Thanks for swinging through here Red. You're the one I always think of whenever I see APU. Because you're good at troubleshooting and I think you actually enjoy it. I don't, even though that was what they trained me for on the planes. I hope you come back and read along some more, good, diverse group here with an occasional appearance from @Al. Roper if I prod him hard enough. You probably know several other folks here too. Y'all have a great day.

That's awsome on the aluminum case.

Is he the same guy that sells the aluminum cases for the Kenworth heater box assembly?

I have no idea. I just wasn't going to pay $1,000+ for another crappy powder coated mess at Thermo King, so I did some web searches and it came up. Took a leap of faith to click on "buy" on something like that sight unseen, but it was a winner. If he or whoever is making them makes other stuff, I wouldn't be worried about buying. Here is the listing for the apu case I bought. Maybe search down any info in that ad to see if they sell other stuff.

Man I like that case, that's sharp. Mine is aluminum but they paint them black and put their name and stuff on it.

I haven't heard anything about the plastic lines cracking, but that's a good tip. More than likely something that occurs in cold weather? I'll definitely be keeping an eye on that, thank you.

And yeah I bought that primer pump at TK and talk about sticker shock. They are definitely proud of their parts.

Thanks Red. Yep, that's him. Hes a genius for doing what hes doing. And his price is fair in my opinion

My guess is more likely ham hands on the water separator filter getting out of control and breaking them. Never had any trouble with mine, but I'm kind of careful around the breakable stuff. The 387 my son drives still has them and no trouble. The other one went with a truck I sold last year.

Thanks for that. I do see a few familiar handles. Truth be told, I worked in auto repair for about a decade in another lifetime and learned troubleshooting the hard way. Now, the main reason I do it is if I have the time to do it and I'm too cheap to pay someone else to do it wrong. It's a curse, really.
