I saw that article. Seems like that governor needs to go take business 101. A truck only toll is nothing more than a tax hike on the citizens of the state.

Of course, using tolls as a means to obfuscate his intentions to raise taxes could be his design from the beginning.

I'm fairly new to here. I never realized you had worked for ALL. I'm sure you've swung plenty of jib and erected a good amount of Crawlers also!!

Yeah 3 1/2 years, there was a lot of BS but I honestly liked it a lot. If the economy hadn’t down turned and I landed where I am I would have stayed there. In the right scenario I’d go back. But yeah I’ve erected crawlers up to the 21000 and hydros up to 650 ton.

I just paid $3.19 a gallon for non corn gas. I didn't even look at the price for the 10% ethanol since I refuse to buy it.

Diesel is running $3.55 here for winter blend.

Mine had some rot, I aslo replace the core and evap. I looked at replaceing the whole unit but could not justify the cost just to watch it rot again. Should have been aluminum from factory imo

Very little, I’ve taken 40 and 50 tonners out to erect jib and stuff. I’ve swung counterweights on the bigger ones just for the heck of it. Never really interested me, I do have my CCO for fixed cab hydraulic because we have a 27 ton boomtruck I run.

I did, I tried really REALLY hard. I dug deep for peace and tranquility this morning however the fact I'm not in jail right now eludes me.

So to start off, my APU, you know the little diesel motor on the frame rail with the really obscure name "Carrier" on it. I'm sure no one has ever heard of Carrier but anyway moving forward. Its past due for an oil change, it's brand new, now 3 months old and I really don't want to run it over on hours. I call our shop this past Monday to let them know it needs serviced, I'll be in Savannah all week and have time so where would they like me to take it. Shop says if I only need an oil change I can go to Love's or TA, they both service our APU's. So I go to Love's, check in at the shop and two hours later another mechanic comes out to the truck and informs me they do not change oil on APU's. I make my way down to the TA the following morning early, check in and am told there will be a 5-6 hour wait. So I wait, 8 hours I wait, I check back a couple times to let them know I'm patiently waiting and I continue to wait. 10 hours after I check in I get a call from someone on the inside, they don't have anyone that can change the oil and can I come back the next day. I left!!

Call the office again, he said Okay, Speedco will change it so just hit one of those. I hate Speedco, especially since they are a glorified Loves and Loves sucks! I pass a few on the way home however I figured I would just get it done here in Dallas when I got home and got rid of the trailer. Due to a change in plans after I had already made my plans my 3 day weekend became 24 hours. I get up early this morning and decide I'll run grab the truck and get this done. And I do, I'm at one of the doors at Speedco before anyone who works there makes it to work. I get pulled in immediately and I tell them I need the oil changed on my APU and since I'm over the pit go ahead and grease the truck even though it's only been about 5000 miles since I had it done.

I push the little button on the nanny box and exactly 1 hour and 53 minutes later, after they had greased the truck, which was second priority on my list, they inform me they cannot change the oil on my APU because they don't stock filters for anything but Thermo King. I lost my F@$#%@$#^G mind, told him to open the F^#$@%&$*G door and get out of my F&#^@$#%@G way, I'm F&@%#$@%G leaving. "Well, you need to pull out and go to the office and pay for the grease job" says the MORON standing there. I said I'm not paying for any F&@%@#@$!&G grease job, I came here to get my G@&!^#$^&N APU serviced, told you when I pulled into the F&#%@$#*G building I have a Carrier, you took my G*&!^#%&M information on your little clip board and now you've wasted MY Saturday morning off because you couldn't be bothered to tell me up front you don't carry filters. His response, "I assumed you had a Thermo King". I said yes, yes I do, that's why it says "Carrier" right on the F&@^%@$#%%^G cover that you've walked past 100 times in the past two hours and it also says "Carrier" right there on your little M&@^!$R F*@!^!$@%G clip board.

I'm sure the company will get charged for a grease job and I'm doubly sure I'm not welcome back in their little shop!

I'm going to stop by Napa on my way to the truck this evening, grab filters and oil then pull up right in front of Speedco, drain my oil, drop the filters and leave!
