Oops.....

 

Welp day started out alright. Scheduled a load of bricks from Sioux city to springdale ar then head home.

Pulled up to pre trip and fuel the truck at the pilot, hear air leaking. Hmmm sounds like the red line. Wiggle it and the #### thing blows the line off in my hand.
Well crap. Now I'm stuck in the fuel island
Grab a wrench and take it apart. It's a compression fitting. Cool I'll just yank this apart and cut the bad spot out and put it back together. Negative. So I go into the pilot buy a new hose and gladhand. Get the old hose off. New hose doesnt fit. Gahh cant catch a break.

Drag trailer with brakes locked around the parking lot into a spot drop it run across the street and get a new hose put on. Is now 2.5 hours after I got the load and was supposed to pick it up an hour ago. Needless to say doesnt look like I'm getting that one today.

 

back about 1991 or 92 a guy up here put an engine off a wrecked Goldwing in the passenger side jockey box of a 88 Freightliner 60"standup sleeper and had a 140 amp alternator and an ac compressor running off the rear output shaft. that thing was so quiet you didnt know it was running from the drivers side, he had it run at 1000rpm on warmer days and 2500 on days below 0. he had a complete second bunk heater with a/c under the bunk.

The cat that made it must have had a kidney infection. When is the last time the doser injector was cleaned? Might just need the junk cleaned off then force a regen.

 

Sitting at home with the kids while they watch cartoons. My two year old is wearing sunglasses upside down. As long as she is not tearing something up, we are good.

 

I was driving into a small town in Oklahoma, can't remember the name because it's been 8 years or so, but my GPS started screaming about a low clearance ahead and that it was re calculating route..

The Mk1 Mod0 eyeball told me that the electronic gizmo had to of been on drugs. There was by no means a bridge of any kind ahead, and the reroute was by no means truck friendly.

Sorry Ms. Garmin, I think I'll take it from here......
