“Ok your way up can you grab my new trailer?”
What year did they require maxi brakes to be installed on trailers? No data plate on it. Stainless under all that grey paint tho. -
Not sure on the date, but I ordered a new Trail King MRGN in 1993,and when I picked it up in Mitchell,SD.,I noticed right away it didn't have maxis when I was pushing it around, trying to hook up. I forgot to check off that box.
Very clean looking tractor!Slowpoke KW, cke, Oxbow and 19 others Thank this. -
After years of outside Construction work here in Michigan, when the cracks started I always carried plain old chapstick! Easy enough to rub into the cracks and easy to carry around at all times. Still do this even today religiously!Slowpoke KW, cke, Oxbow and 19 others Thank this.

Has to be 1970ish no later than 1985. What a relic!Slowpoke KW, cke, Oxbow and 16 others Thank this. -
Been a interesting week. Started out with a load of chips in a dry van, dumped that in Bakersfield Monday, bounced over the hill and swapped over to a curtain, loaded that with beer, which I delivered in Chico Tuesday morning.
Reloaded a couple of miles away with lumber, delivered that yesterday afternoon in Calpella, spotted that trailer for a pre load, then bobtailed to the yard and grabbed the tanker which I loaded in Woodland this morning, coming up here to Humboldt.
I'm tempted to demand a flatbed load for Friday, I could have a four-fecta on the week.
Guy at the mill I loaded at in Chico said he and 8 other employees there live around Paradise and Magalia, they all lost their houses. Thoughts & prayers to everyone up there. -
My new trailer doesn’t have maxis’s
-
Yes,apparently there is still an exemption for heavy haul, not having spring brakes required.
-
Are you sure they’re required on any trailer?
-
You almost have have to be lawyer to try and decipher govt. regs. I'm sure there is someone smarter than I,who can figure it out. From what I read and understand, they are required, except for agricultural commodity trailers, pulpwood trailers, and heavy haul.
I might be confused, that comes easily to me.Slowpoke KW, cke, Oxbow and 18 others Thank this.
