Where is everyone #5

This goes double for me. I am a misfit here, but I enjoy all (oh wait, I'm in Southern Idaho, I can say " all y'alls") company.

 

Everyone can't play the same position on the team, can they?

 

Well. That would lead to lots of squabbling about playing time and who gets to start. Pretty sure that the offense and defense would suffer immensely too. Not a good idea in general.

 

I never got picked any way.

Three years ago I was at Sam’s Club and bought coffee filters. I wasn’t paying attention that they were for industrial sized coffee machines. I was going to throw them away, but my wife said to keep them.

So, for the last three years I have folded, contorted, and wedged these mammoth filters into our coffee pot. Most of the time, it works but some days they would fold in and get grounds in the coffee. Today we used the last oversized filter, and that’s what I’m thankful for this year.

I'm thankful for a lot of things this year! I wanted to thank all of you that keep America and the Great White North rolling! Without all of us everything STOPS!!

 

Likewise, if everyone pulled the same type trailer with the same type truck and had the same handle, how uninteresting our world would be. You be you, and I will be me and that way we will have something to talk about. So, @Oxbow, if you are a misfit and fit right in, what does that say about everyone else?

 

They've got this astounding new invention around here that they call shears or scissors. This amazing instrument can magically shrink things made from paper. You just read the operating instructions and do this thing they call trimming. You could make them filters fit without all that folding next time.
