For you cat mechanics. Cat finally did something smart. Instead of slots for the post to slide through they redesigned it with stud holes.

 

Sometimes you hear things that just make you shake your head and see things that you cant unsee.

Today we had a guy break down on the scale after he loaded. Scaling out. I went over to see if I could help or atleast maybe tug him off the scale so we could all continue to get loaded in the refinery (we have to scale in and out, 1 scale) its gets kinda busy as you can imagine.

As I walk over and ask,

"Hey bud, you ok? Will it crank or is it just not starting?"

He replied " well it's been running kinda rough last day or 2, then all sorts of lights and buzzing going on in the cab that I never noticed before. It sputtered and died now it just wont start. The last 6 months this thing hasnt ran like it should in my opinion"

Me: " that sucks, when the last time you changed the fuel filters? What engine is in this thing? (2007 386 Pete) if it's a Cat I got extra fuel filters and some 911 if you need it man, this your truck?."

Him: " well i honestly have no idea and yeah its mine"

Me: " no idea if the filters have been changed lately?

Him: " no, I have no idea what engine I have"

Me: " um. What color is the engine?"

Him: "dont know, I've never looked."

I musta had that look on my face like I just saw a 9 car pile up with fatalities. Dead silence...

"Aight man I'm out. Good luck....."

Someone finally gets the bright idea to put it in first gear and hit the starter to move the truck off the scale.

WTF

It scared the #### outta ME! lol....

I felt sorry for that poor truck. He was leased to a outfit I never seen before. I hate to say it, but I dont think he gonna make it.

 

Exactly. Someone said that outfit cut the hell outta a non odorized haul going from Kentucky to Cincinnati. What paid $700 they are doing for $325. Ouch!
