There is a sinking feeling when you pull into a fuel island and there is a behemoth getting out of his truck after he pulls off the island. Then, he dumps out the Big Bubba Kidney Buster and makes the slow waddle to the door.
Apparently the line at Subway wasn’t too bad since he had his foot long sandwich in tow,( I guess he wasn’t hungry. ) As inconsiderate as that fat slob was, someone had just dropped a spread axle flat in the middle of he parking lot, not a truck in sight. Typical day.Last edited: Nov 29, 2018

Be wary of depressed animals and birds alike with winter coming. I had a hawk commit suicide coming up out of the median into my driver windshield, cracked and splintered it. So much for great vision.

Got another load heading further east for way better money and I can take it home for the weekend but I dont pick it up until tomorrow then it's a day an a half drive to the house so I wont get home till Saturday afternoon

The glass was shattered so bad it couldn't be seen through. So here I was with my head out the window trying to get off the highway when some comedian gets on the radio. This joker asks me if I know my windshields cracked and laughs. So I asked him if he knew his brain was cracked, didn't hear no more out of that fellow.
Then this other hand comes up beside me and puts the rear of his trailer just in front of my bumper, him in the hammer and me in the granny. He asks if I'm injured and can I stay with him a few miles to the little Pilot. Told him nothing was hurt besides my nerves and glad for the help.
So he stayed right there to keep other traffic from getting in front of me helped be my eyes. We got it into that pilot and he helped me get it parked. We sat and chatted a bit over coffee while I was waiting for the glass people to bring me a new windshield.
He drove a green and gold 1993 Pete pulling a covered wagon. One of the nicest guys I ever met. You know there's some hands you just don't ever forget.Al. Roper, OLDSKOOLERnWV, jamespmack and 25 others Thank this. -
