Think Scotch masking tape would pass DOT inspection? I'd be lying if I said the thought of drilling holes in a new Brunner wasn't causing some anxiety.

    Goodnight gents.

Had a buddy with a 77 monarch. Light faded green with dark green pleather interior. Used to go to shopping center and hit carts with the tank. Hood emblem was a good cross hairs (+)

To make you feel better, I have and will again put a 9inch in a GM again. I have worked on them all and hate all of them equally. But Im in love with the LS series engine. I really think ford would have done better if they stuck with one engine and worked on improving it vs. giving up and trying something else.

Seeing the flathead in the pick @stwik posted reminded me of kind of a sad story/cautionary tale.

Customer where I used to work brought in a very decent 36 Ford Pickup for a frame off restoration/mild modifications. Truck had a Ford flat head V8 in it, but he'd bought a "newer" Mercury flathead V8. The Merc had been rebuilt and all that, but he basically bought it sight unseen. The seller told him that it "ran like a top" and all that snake oil crap. When the day came to fire up the engine when the restoration was almost finished.... Imagine the excitement on the customer's face when we were about to turn the key.

Fire that bad (lol) boy up and:

    "Knock knock"

    "Who's there"

    "Pig"

    "Pig who?"

"The Pig in a Poke engine you bought which knocks like a sonofa..."
