Sometimes it's the little things that get you through the day. Like coming off a 64 on to the big road and falling in behind an old CH mack triaxle dump soon as I merge on. No traffic so i hit my signal and the hammer lane. Throttle er up and this ####### hits the gas, so i hit the big hole and build a fire and almost turn him around when i go by. Get on my big radio and tell him bring a big truck next time. Lmao. He wants know what I'm runnin lol. A 3176 with a 8LL and 4.33 rears drivah

Sure was a beautiful day today! My eyes hurt from all the sun!
Made Minot as per usual.
Got confirmation about moving to a new truck in the new year. Going to be the Paccar MX-13 unit I drove over the summer and will be pulling our custom built tridem Polar Tank trailer (used to be tandem for 20 years).
It's 1530 cu. ft. and should let me squeeze almost 56,000 lbs of lime in there, but it still likely won't be big enough to get up to 92,500 gross we are allowed.
I'm not thrilled about a MX-13, but a 510 Paccar that's breathing completely free, runs 66 mph and is apparently putting close to 485 to the pavement isn't going to be something to turn my nose up at. It's seen two drivers in its 5 years on the road, and both have taken care of it. My only complaint about it in the summer was I couldn't run it anywhere fun.
Probably going to need to convince the shop manager I'm going to need a moose bumper though, I was about 10 feet from hitting a big buck on the ND-3 tonight after sunset. Going to try and post dash cam video later.Feedman, cke, Crusader66 and 17 others Thank this. -
Platinum kit for us is about $40,000 CAD and that's in-house labour. CAT's aren't cheap but they last.cke, Crusader66, PoleCrusher and 15 others Thank this.

I have said it before and will now repeat myself. I am not saying this sarcasticly: but until you have had really up close experiences with mental health, clinical depression and such, it would be best to not judge someone until you have walked in his or her shoes. @hurricane 69 and @Ford1951 have made solid statements on suicide. I am in no way judging anyone on here. My only goal is enlightening those who have not had to live with depression themselves or someone close to them who suffers from depression. I have gone way off from my original thought which was: people who commit suicide are not in a normal healthy state of mind. Open disclosure: between the ages of say 15 to 30 I considered suicide a number of times. Why didn’t I do it? Suicide isn’t practical and that is how I saw my situation. Explain that. A very rational thought from an unrational mind. Suicide only shifts personal hurt permanently over onto others. Now you are wondering how a suicidal person can think rationally. Me too. I am (was) messed up. I have taken prescription antidepressants for 20 years. I started them at 45 years of age. Yupper. I lived 45 years as a screwed up person. It took 10 plus years of meds and a willingness to overcome depression before my life started to turn around. I am now much calmer and can enjoy life (most of the time). I really didn’t understand how far off center I was. I was just like my father except for drinking. I was as big a butthole as he was but I didn’t see it as not being normal. I grew up with it so I “sort of” didn’t know any different. I could go on and on but I hope I have brought a little understanding to depression. Mr. Ford I really really feel for you and your family. I has always said that by the numbers a certain percentage of a population will be successful in ending their lives. Sorry about the rambling. A trait of people who are bipolar type II. We are the ones almost nobody understands.

Wife is convinced I have pneumonia.
The medicine she gives me: some penicillin from Mexico that expired in 2006 and some leftover Prednisone from the last time the dog went to the vet. -
Clutch linkage. That little short one right up next to the floor. We always change them when the tranny is out. Dang near impossible otherwise.Feedman, cke, Crusader66 and 20 others Thank this.
