Got a delivery this morning, some engine trailers. Gotta pull the engines off that jet, it's being de-commisioned. Their were 2 trucks but the other one was white Volvo so I figured I'd spare us all the obvious comments and not take a pic of it, lol.

Yes, any rational person would think that, I think that, you think that, everyone on this thread thinks that however people in offices at state capitols don't think that. We've fought that battle, lost that battle and quite frankly given up trying to talk rationally with these people. There are so many better options like highway 10 in Oklahoma, it's a miserable, narrow, no shoulder, winding highway and just a few miles either direction are 4 lane highways, not interstates, that we could do a lot better on but those are restricted to 10' wide. So let's put a 20' wide load on a road that's exactly 20' wide.
Doesn't make sense, but I'm just the steering wheel holder and white knuckled I'll hold it through these places.
The fortunate part, most of the locals are used to seeing these super-loads and will get out of the way. The bigger problem we have is the box jockey truck drivers who are following thier dispatcher routed shortest miles and are petrified of the edge of the road so they drive left of center and force us into the ditch.Al.
