@Tug Toy ,It sucks but as long as nobody was hurt that's the main thing. The one I was involved in 10 years ago,I was 850 miles from home & had to wait on my wife to come get me. That was a long day & night in the motel room.

Tug, thank you for posting this. We ALL need a reality check once in a while, just sorry it had to happen to one of the crew here. Proof that bad stuff can happen to even the best of hands. Even when you’ve done everything by the book.

Hope you get the rig fixed and get back on the horse quick partner.

What kind of fenders you got on there @Tug Toy? Hogebilt low lows? That something you already ordered?

You won't get an ounce of ridicule from me either, that's for sure. I see pictures here of some of the loads you guys haul, and I'm humbled before I even start. I can't quite picture how it was loaded, or how it managed to take out your tank (bounce?), but you won't get anything but support from me.

Of course, DOT is here for our benefit?

My wife is pulling the old "stall so he beats me to the restaurant" routine. She forgot that I have her debit card, hope she gets her money's worth.

Thanks for all the support fellas. Means a lot to me.

After I knew no one else was hurt or involved I was fine. Went into cleanup mode. I feel bad for the points and the insurance claim because it may effect the guy I’m leased to and the other drivers. I also feel bad for the jobsite I was delivering to. They had a staff and crane waiting on me to bring 3 loads that day. They received 0. I also feel a little bad for the shipper. They committed to the customer they would deliver 3 loads that day.

I feel I let all those people down.

That being said, every single one of them has disappointed me at least once in the last 3 months.

So I had a big steak dinner last night and got an attitude adjustment.

I started ordering parts today. The fender is a new Hogebuilt low rider. I found a place I could order just one. Found a used tank and mirror from the same place. Got a new wheel that will be here in the morning. Tire is good.

I’ll work on getting a new cabinet door tomorrow.

I have the ability to fix the rail on the trailer.

I Think I can get all that done for less than $2k?

Insurance sounds like they will cover all but $750 of the tow bill and $1000 deductible. I will not file a truck claim. 8F50B84F-C587-40E9-BAF2-D9088B651CE0.jpeg F9141FAB-7EC5-4AD1-94E5-8E77B240998D.jpeg 51A7DBA8-4281-4045-B400-19A4EC888B7F.jpeg 8455E497-B551-4A30-8A70-1DF72CEF1714.jpeg 20EF9F27-9B0A-4AE0-8E11-68E907DFFCB3.jpeg

Worst part was I had a fresh fuel up about 30 miles before. It’s all gone. Mostly pumped out of the tanks into the recovery vehicle to be disposed of ..... yeah right!

No credit on the bill for that $500 worth. They left me with about 10 gallon.

    Lol

Other than hitting a bridge, that has to be the scariest thing you can encounter in the open deck world.

How's the wife @ShooterK2 since the novocaine wore off? Do you need a resupply of Ice Cream yet, lol.

If it was me I'd take advantage of that Ice Cream deal as much as I could as long as I could, lol.
