The scene in Detroit was just me and @shogun goofin off. I told him to ride in back if he wanted to ride.

 

Well look what I found...

 

@Tug Toy 's little mishap, and statements about securement reminds me of starting the job where I'm at now which is my first foray into open deck work.

Think I posted about it somewhere else, but I had a load of ductile iron pipe and I secured it per the regs, everything was cool until the load shifted not far from the job site. Made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. I vowed to always throw an extra strap or two if I felt it was really warranted.

Like everyone else here, I'm glad that Tug's incident was injury free.

 

News says a accident just north of us. Wrong way driver verses rack. Trying to round up 60 head.
Highway is closed.

 

@Tug Toy man sorry your ride got a little tore up. Glad no one got hurt. A boss I had years ago beat it in to my head "if you ain't F'ed something up you ain't done nothing" Good luck brother.

I know I've tore some stuff over the years!

I'm sitting in the drivers seat of my truck, lights off, truck off. Waiting for my wife to pick me up from where I park. I see a couple walking down the street. I put my phone down and watch them. The freaking idiot obviously can't see me. He walks up and is yanking on the passenger door!! I grabbed a big ole handful of air horn!! I think they both pissedthemselves!!! I didn't bother trying to chase 'em....they were movin'!!!
