Buddy of mine found out what O/O's make at my company. Even with my inexperience in that regard I realize why we have only two.



My question is, how much are they being fleeced?

Remember, pay is in CDN$ and trucking in Canada on average pays slightly less than in the US.

I can already tell the fuel surcharge bit is a scam. The truck should make 100% of it. It works out to about $1216 CAD a day in the US (based on the 1.90 a mile at 640 miles in a day), and that's only a slight bit short of what most of you guys want at $1000 US. But with how I know stuff works with loading and unloading in Ontario, there are days you are making 100-150 miles plus $50.

For that kind of work, I wouldn't settle for that at all. The owner is just winning big on that deal.

Doing my bulk thing with my own truck would be pretty good money though. I'm going to be at 2650 miles for the week without all the loading and unloading and border crossing. Just Monday to Friday.

Looks better than the guy running 4300 miles for 7k in owner operator section. Man I worked hard this week. 1200 miles in 4 days.

1,235 Sunday to Thursday over here. I’m pretty whooped I tell you what.



We leaving for a down south rounder to check out colleges in the am. I’m looking forward to all the places we gonna stop- not all the driving in between here n there. Other end of the round is in Savannah GA.

 

Dinner with the county mounties and a few FHP...

Odd man out as I don’t have a sharp crew cut nor am I clean shaven.....this should go well.
