My wife’s aunt delivers mail down here in a Jeep. Just an FYI, the last one was having transmission overheating issues. It burnt to the ground on her one day last year while she was on her route. May want to google her model year and type and see if it has the same issues.

Looks like a cherokee and the trans is an aw4. Pretty #### reliable trans behind the 4.0 inline 6 engine. If that trans got hot enough to catch on fire, I'd say there were some other factors involved.

 

Hers was a wrangler. They recalled 87k of them for potential fire issues. Hers was unmolested, I think the transmission was the culprit in most of them.

 

I need a flatbed co to lease onto.

I think ATS is out because I was told they dont allow a single truck to be leased on if the driver isnt also the owner. I could get around this by "leasing" the truck from my boss but that involves too much hassle with changing registration and insurance right now.

Still like Mercer and Admiral Merchants as options though.
