Trying to break the internet ?
Thanks for catching that and putting it here. I'm sure it's in the article but does that mean that Cat is coming back to the Truck industry ?Slowpoke KW, BigBob410, jamespmack and 14 others Thank this. -
Doesn't look like it will be available for Trucks. Bummer.
Slowpoke KW, BigBob410, jamespmack and 13 others Thank this. -
I sure as hell hope so. They could hit the ground running in the on-highway market if this thing is as good as it appears to be.
"The engine is configurable with a wide range of factory installed options, Cat says, giving OEMs a choice of transmission interfaces, rotating electrics and other machine interfaces. It will be available with engine-mounted aftertreatment and installed radiators from the factory."Slowpoke KW, jamespmack, peterbilt_2005 and 13 others Thank this. -
The article expressly states " construction, agriculture and industrial applications ". Looks like they want to keep the EPA away from their door ?Slowpoke KW, BigBob410, jamespmack and 12 others Thank this.

Trucking is an Industry. Anybody else confused ?
Slowpoke KW, BigBob410, jamespmack and 10 others Thank this. -
They could very easily have a plan, but haven't announced anything yet. If they have a no-EGR emissions system, it would be dumb not to put this into the on-highway market for all manufacturers.Slowpoke KW, BigBob410, jamespmack and 12 others Thank this.

They never quit building engines they just left the on highway market, the on highway market was tier 4 before off highway. They’re all tier 4 final now but their market share of on highway was diminishing anyway. They’ve said they have no interest in reentering the market.Slowpoke KW, BigBob410, jamespmack and 17 others Thank this.
