Pros vs cons of stretching? The 579 I run now is 265(?) inches. Thinking one day after I get established on my own maybe stretching one to 300 plus

Back in the early 90's I stopped at the TA there in Earle, Ar at the 260 mm. Went in for whatever and on my way out there's a lady standing outside and she asks me if I'm headed toward OKC, which I was. Nice lookin gal, clean, had a little suitcase, I figured what the heck so I say sure, I'll give ya a ride. Holy Cow what a mistake, she was a fruitcake. Kept wanting to talk on the CB, talking poetry, just weird, but I felt bad for her and my conscience wouldn't let me dump her along the way so she ended up riding all the way to OKC with me and I dumped her at the Council Rd TA, lol.
Last time I ever did that, lol.PoleCrusher, cke, Shock Therapy and 24 others Thank this. -

I can’t say as I ever hauled “heavy” with them. 48k coils was about it on the flat. It handled them great! Mine didn’t have the newer style rails and floors. I wouldn’t have thought twice about getting one. The step held up well to. However it was all steel. The flat was a combo. It did have the chain ties in the floor and the previous owner had a side kit on it. I also had a 40 ton detach. It held up ok until I really started putting more on it than I should. Then it started developing cracks. I live in the south so Fontaine is kinda king in these parts.PoleCrusher, cke, Shock Therapy and 16 others Thank this.
