Oh it is terrible!!! This is what is called extrusion, or machine shop area and metal chips are everywhere outside. You know how these professional "operators" are on forklifts.... wide open bouncing the chip tubs and spilling metal shavings everywhere. And those rail tracks
! This place was built in 1922? If my memory is correct, plant stayed the same and truck / trailers got longer lol. To get twisted enough to get backed in the building, you have to nearly drive over a track switch that is elevated in a sense. And those chunks of steel welded in top the tracks as wheel stop / chocks are just wonderful
.

There is a place in portage Indiana like that on the water. You now drive in a pit (about 8 trucks long) where the train cars used to load. That place is tight and dirty. All the walls and hand rails are busted up from the trucks. The whole pit is filled knee deep in trash from truckers. Can't even open your door when you need to load cuz your right up against the wall. Have to crawl through the passenger door onto the dock.

Hey @SAR , did your brother get his basement taken care of and the furnace fixed?
Hope he hasn't had to turn it into an indoor skating rink.Hurricane69, wore out, tony97905 and 6 others Thank this. -
So. 5 gallons of coolant drains out in 10 days. Everyone saw it. No one did anything about it -- that's the story anyway. I put new coolant in... no leaks.
I think some ####er drained it on me... company yard too. Hate to point fingers but ####. -
Sounds exactly like US Steel there in Portage.

We got it all pumped out later that evening. We have a bunch of fans going down there and is drying nicely.
Unfortunately the water fried the electrical board on the furnace so he needs a new one. He's got electric heat to back up on so he's running them for now.
We determined the leak came from the hot water heater pressure relief valve. He just replaced the water heater in Oct of last year. He had the water lines reworked coming into the basement with a some new valves and a pressure regulator and we think some sediment collected in there spiking the pressure up and thus popping that relief valve wide open.
The plumber replaced the pressure regulator again and installed a thermal expansion tank, which I feel he should of added the first time and maybe this would not of happened. -
That Expansion Tank is a must as Ur Brother found out SAR
