New Year’s Brisket

 

Supposed to eat collards and black eyed peas on New Years

 

The cheap ones were starting about $800 each plus fees yesterday.

 

Back at ya sir. Been a mostly good year personally, looking forward to what the next brings.

Been out with my 13 yr old son today shootin, did the same thing Saturday, just the two of us. Can't tell you what it means to me to spend time with him, especially when he wants to and then to have him tell ya how much fun he had both days just......well, it just makes me feel pretty darn good, especially after the relationship my dad and i had, or didn't have.

He's a great shot by the way with a .22 and the .243 at 100 and 150 yds, can put it in a 2" circle from both distances. Put him on the 12 gauge with a slug barrel and it's just a bit much for him but he was wantin to try it and never back down from it. Pretty proud dad today.

That's awesome man. My father and I didnt have the best relationship when I was growing up. Its alot better now for sure. I figure it was him pushing me to do the best I could so I'd have better opportunities than he did and me being childish and rebelling so we butted heads alot. We but heads now still but hes more open to what I have to say than he used to and usually come to an agreement.
