For grain in Arkansas pull it. Extra axles will not help your gross on a divisible load. Up north I might lean keep it

@johndeere4020
Had to have the ol big bad 4wd GMC helped out of a pickle by one of those green and yellow farm cars this evening. I'd have taken a pic but I wouldn't have been able to see the smirk on your face, lol.peterbilt_2005, 1951 ford, cke and 15 others Thank this. -
It was for some charity golfing event. I want to say Pat Boone was the main celeb. It was my first time hearing about him, but John Daly was there. I was working for a guy that ran 8 hotels around the country as his driver. Lulu Roman was one of the VIPs at our hotel. When there was a VIP, the boss would want one person to look after them. My job was to look after Lulu Roman.
If a VIP wanted to do the tourist thing in neighboring states, or go shopping or clubbing or whatever, we looked after them. -
@Oxbow or @superhauler I think are way more qualified to answer this.
Call Scott at Eldons and ask him ball park what he gets. Turn at the transfer station on east line road in searcy. (By loves) last shop on left is D and D truck repair. The only thing they do is dump beds. They have an agreement to get every steer axle that eldon buys so they can convert it. I would think they be on that like white on rice or Doc on beef jerky -
Those 4.10 rear ends seem like a lot of truck for what you’re needing. Not saying I’m an expert by any means but between that and the tag axle it’s a lot of truck1951 ford, cke, PoleCrusher and 9 others Thank this.

Yeah dont plan on keeping the tag, also says it's got a 2 speed rear...
Theres a switch on the dash for the rear end and a range selector on the shifter so idk what it's really got.Last edited: Dec 31, 2018

If ya come up 63 there's some Schaeffers in my side box....Le Mars is at 4° last report.... Winter weather advisory for most of the state.
Room in the drive if ya need it. -
So hauling grain is all your wanting to do with it?
If you're gonna do much interstate truckin with it, you will hate 4:10 gears. For $30,000 you can find something way more appropriate for what youre trying to do. -
Nice. Meet some interesting folks doing that kind of stuff.
I did a Limo stint here in OKC a while back, (02-03), and boy was it interesting to say the least, hauled a wide variety of people.
